Park Place Liquor & Deli
Park Place is where Coronado locals actually shop for wine and spirits. Skip the tourist spots on Orange Avenue and grab a bottle here, then hit the grass at Spreckels Park with a plastic cup. The back wall has the good stuff at prices that don't insult you.
Look past the front display. Ask the staff what's selling fast from the wine section. They know the good-to-price ratio better than anyone on the island.

Start at the Hotel del Coronado and walk the beach south toward the ferry landing. The curve of sand gets emptier the further you go. By the concrete pier you'll understand why locals don't talk about this place much. Keep it that way.
