Order a classic cocktail stirred. Skip the scene at street level and watch the neighborhood change color as the sun drops. One or two drinks, then go to dinner somewhere below.

Get there when the ship opens. The flight deck is the main draw, the hangar deck your chance to breathe without crowds. Leave by 2 or watch tour groups triple. Parking is terrible. Take the trolley from the Gaslamp.

Get a Nebbiolo or something off the Italian list and sit at the bar. The owner knows what he's doing with the program. India Street gets quieter after 6. You won't fight for a stool here like you do everywhere else in Little Italy.
